Buddhist, Hindu Make History With Elections To Congress
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/07...88939.html

Quote:Tuesday's elections brought two historic firsts for religion in American politics: A Buddhist senator and a Hindu representative -- both from Hawaii -- will join Congress.

Democrat Mazie Hirono beat former Gov. Linda Lingle ®, making Hirono the first Buddhist in the Senate. In Hawaii's 2nd Congressional District, Democrat Tulsi Gabbard defeated Republican opponent Kawika Crowley, making Gabbard the first Hindu in Congress.

I'm more in favor of realistic people being in our government but I'm sure this will annoy the fuck out of the xtians.

Diversity is good, even if it is different religions. Make the Christians realize they don't personally OWN this country. I think it's great, personally, and they are both women, and born out of the country, too!! I bet the repubs that see this story and :BOOM: heads explode.

Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Buddhism comes from a tradition of monk classes and slaves, hence why Buddhist dogma boils down to surrendering resources and materials.

Probably just another socialist.
