"Don't misunderstand me, I think it's a perfectly acceptable and legitimate preference to have, it just happens to be one that I do not share."
Though I'm more in line with Min, though my chosen tack would be something more along the lines of, "oh just shut the fuck up."
(My sister got rather incensed when I told her that recently. Apparently she was laboring under the mistaken view that her opinions all deserved a fair hearing.)

Everyone is a bigot, i am a bigot ..
I hate spiders but i have no problems with flies.
I love cows but don't like horses.
I'm a sucker for high heels but i hate flip flops.
I hate blue but i love red and black.
So if you hate black people please don't say to me "i have nothing against them but they will never be my friend", just say "i hate blacks", so i will know what kind of a-hole i'm dealing with ..

If someone says "I have nothing against black people but...." they are usually about to say something racist. And I think the "but" makes it have extra racist connotations. Anyway, I'm not talking about any particular kind of bigotry.

Given that you didn't care for the "doesn't float by boat" homily you probably won't go for this one either: "not my cup of tea".

And fans of... let's say, Justin Beiber.. Well, they should be mocked for liking such obvious musical shit.

My littlest sister is 18 and loves Beiber... I don't mock her, but I strongly suggest that she expand her musical repertoire.

At least it's music.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
