Hello All, Stranger Here
November 14, 2012 at 1:02 pm
What's goin' on, everybody? I'm an atheist from America and I'm new to the forum here. I came across it from a Google Search.
A little bit about me...
I was raised Catholic, but when I turned about 17 I started researching other religions including Buddhism and Islam. I slowly turned myself into an eye-opened atheist. Although I agree with many Buddhist principles and think highly of Buddhism, I don't follow the actual "religious" parts to it, only the "philosophical" ones, so I cannot consider myself a buddhist. Thanks for your time and hopefully I'll have some fun on here.

I did, atheist is the same word in english as in german. Probably because it`s a greek word - therefor it`s probably the same in a lot of european languages.

Now for my world-famous John Wayne impression: Howdy, stranger!
I realise you had to use your imagination for that, but trust me it was just like he walked into the room!

Personally I was referred by Min, so it's his fault. I've also got a "members referred" of one but I'm buggered if I can think who that might be.
Interestingly, whenever I go to type "atheistforums" into my Google search bar, I only need to get as far as "atheistf" for atheistforums.org to show up as the top recommended search term.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
