Devided in catholic south and lutheran north, but it is worth mentioning that 40-50% of todays german population is atheist/agnostic.

- Germans, they are in general very friendly
I was only joking.
My beef with the catholic church mhmm, well there is the "philosophical" point of it`s advication of religious and sociatal unity.
To me a ideal sociaty is pluralistic and diverse in opinion, unity should only exist on the aproval of basic human values - but these should be constantly reevalueted on their validness.
Total unquestionabel moral rules do not exist in such a sociaty.
The concept of "sociatial unity" contradicts the concept of a modern democracy and I can only reject it.
And then there are the practical nonsence parts such as the constant bashing of contraceptives.
And worst of all the hypocracy - Preaching for "sociatal unity" when it preaches ono thing in one country and anotherone in a other. Preaching for secularism because it gives every sect equal status in a secterian devided nation such as Germany and acknowlegeing and appologising for it`s role in national socialist Germany.
Whilest preaching it`s unquestionabel status of power in Ireland and Spain and blaming national socialism and it`s crimes on secularism in the US and UK. Like if people didn`t speak foreign languages. And if the concept of "unity" should only be preached by adapting it with the various different concepts of what is perceived as conservative throughout the globe.
