If you have a word, "existence", why attach to its concept another word that already represents a different concept?
Your redefinition is akin to the one I find in christians who redefine god as love

Pantheism does not distinguish creator from creation. It is not a redifinition. It is a different definition.

I reject your submission on the grounds that one of my friends is a muslim, three of my friends are Christians, one of my friends is Jewish, my foster father is a Christian, my foster mother is a deist, and I hate none of them, and furthermore reject it on the grounds that I cannot hate something that I don't even believe in. It's hard to attribute empathy or antipathy towards something that you are apathetic on the very existence of.
Have at you.

I've made a deal with all dieties, pantheist or otherwise: prove to me you exist and I'll follow your religion. So far, no pantheistic god has proven himself to me. There is a vast difference between 'God' and 'creation' and if you don't agree, don't argue with me; I'm just telling you what Webster has to say about it. You don't prove the existance of God by changing the deffinition of the word 'God.'

(December 22, 2012 at 7:10 am)Jesus.of.Nazareth Wrote: Because I define God as Existence, I deem that your atheism is a hatred of this definition of and reality of God. Atheists by in large are given to various forms of expression of hate toward those who like God, such as Jesus of Nazareth and the Bible. Few engage the topic intellectually and often substitute expressions of contempt toward non-atheists.
Right. You just waltz in here and immediately start with the "YOU HATE US. YOU'RE ALL STUPID. WHY DO YOU HATE US?"
Allow me to dissect the reasoning you are displaying:
You open with unwarranted accusation. If you did even so much of the most modicum amount of digging you would notice the administrative staff includes a muslim, and at one time it included a deist and a Christian as I recall. And you would notice the moderator staff as well is a fairly mixed bag, too. Wouldn't make much sense to elevate someone everyone ubiquitously hates to a position of administrative or moderative influence, now would it? You then follow up by insulting the intelligence of atheists in a very broad sense based on, again, nothing. And then you follow it up with wondering why it seems atheists have contempt and dislike towards believers.
In short, you answered your own question, amigo, twice in fact. You are a microcosm of why atheists are so virulently angry towards theists, especially on the internet where we are forced to encounter them every single day. Even on our own chosen forums of social milling, conveniently labeled "AtheistForums." Maybe it's because people like you can't get the hell out of our faces for more than a day without feeling the urge to witness or proselytize or convert those who do not believe like you do? Maybe that's the additional reason that precedes the reasons you already gave yourself to answer your own question?
The answer, of course, is yes: Yes, that is EXACTLY why.

Pantheism does not distinguish creator from creation. It is not a redifinition. It is a different definition. Don't care. Your superstition is still as silly and unproven as any new age woo.
