Church of England lifts opposition to gay bishops

Church of England lifts opposition to gay bishops
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20914799

Good news right?

"The Church of England has dropped its prohibition on gay clergy in civil partnerships becoming bishops.

The announcement, from the Church's House of Bishops, would allow gay clergy to become bishops if they promise to be celibate."

but wait:

"The Church of England has already agreed to allow people in civil partnerships to become clergy, provided they promised they would remain celibate, and repent for active homosexuality in the past."

So being gay is ok, so long as you apologise repeatedly for it, never act on it, and feel guilty for being gay 24/7. Sounds legit.

Also, the evangelical wing of the CofE who are vehemently opposed to gays being bishops is called 'Reform', I shit you not.

Oh, and some African crazy people gave their opinion on it, but really, nobody gives a shit about what they say so I'm not sure why the BBC included their opinions.

Pretty much the way the catholics treat pedophilia....except for the not "acting on it" part.

Great. So basically, the Church of England has not lifted any opposition to gay bishops, and therefore there is no announcement to be made.

Just a bunch of self-righteous pricks still stuck, smelly and stagnant, in the dark ages.

1. Because crazy irrational people are the lifeblood of the rabid animal that is the church, and;
2. The BBC are, for the most part, a bunch of pedophile-protecting, pro-government, man-causes-climate-change advocate shitheads.
