We are one species in evolution, we are not an apex. Cockroaches have been around a lot longer and outnumber us. The most plentiful life is bacteria.

Eagles have better eyesight than humans. Whales and dolphins have separate breathing and feeding tubes and are not at risk of choking like humans are.

God created the snake to test Eve's dedication to God. If she really loved Him, then Adam and Eve wouldn't have disobeyed His commands.

Well since, in the mind of the believer, "God can do what he wants. He works in mysterious ways. He doesn't have to explain himself to you." Allows the believer to swallow such tripe. The trick to believing is to drink the Kool Aid first, and don't question.
