Ridge: Bush officials sought to raise terror alert before '04 vote

RE: Ridge: Bush officials sought to raise terror alert before '04 vote
Pippy, I'm going to take a page from Barney Frank's book and ask what planet you spend most your time on? Oh and talking to you is liking having an argument with a dining room table.

Seriously, you clearly buy into whatever conspiracy theory you want and I have no interest in talking with you any further if you can't think for yourself.

Who the hell is Barry? I think Obama is brilliant! I think he's playing it safe at the moment. I think he should end the nonsense in the middle east now, not later. I don't believe he is anything like Bush except the fact that they are both politicians. Also I think everything padraic said is spot on. JMO.

Isn't it "Barack" -> "Barry" Obama?

Barry is his nickname that his close friends use.

I just thought it was a nickname the media had given him. Hehe.

Well that explains it. I'm not a close friend.

I don't think the "Shadow Government" is something that likes the spotlight. Because you can't see them, doesn't necessarily mean it isn't real. Hey, a Government job not for you, apply today to the Shadow Government! Call it the lobbyists. The people that aren't the ones you see on TV, but do run the show (more than the ones you see on TV).

Quote:what planet you spend most your time on?
Ummmm. Earth?? Because I see something different than you in American Politics, I am on another planet? You've POV is taken as obvious? What if you are wrong, and the things I see are correct? Than what planet would you be on? Earth still...

Quote:talking to you is liking having an argument with a dining room table.
Well... You must have the most charming and intelligent table... Not because I am so, but I certainly am charming compared to my dining room table...

Quote:you clearly buy into whatever conspiracy theory you want
Oh. Clearly. Because I am on here right now going off about how he's a Kenyan. Oh, and the Bavarian Illuminati. The knights of Malta. The Jewish money scam. Oh, and the Chinese takeover of America. Let me see. What else is a silly CT that I don't believe in? So as soon as I hold a belief you don't, I become officially crazy? Come on, either make a point or don't. But don't hold your nose, all holier than though, because you watch too much Fox. Or compare me to furniture, you're choice.

Quote:I have no interest in talking with you any further if you can't think for yourself
... Than decide that I'm thinking for myself or stop talking? When do I start thinking for myself? When I love Obama unconditionally? When I don't think Bush and Obama have strong similarities? When I agree with your POV?

Calling me a dining room table, and accusing me of not thinking for myself is silly. Prove it. Show me. You're accusation comes across as the concept "Pippy disagrees with me, so he must be crazy. Everyone has to see things as I do,". I doubt that is your real point, but it seems like that's all you gave me.

Thanks though.

I too agree with Padraic, except the part about his office being honest so far. Obama is part of the plan, I don't want any part of where I think the plan is going.

Quote:Who the hell is Barry?
Barry Sotero, it's Barraks "other" name. Don't we all have more than one moniker for convenience? When he attended Occidental, although the records are sealed, his name was Barry Sotero. Other classmates have come forward and said they remember him as such. I don't know why he ran with a muslim name during a perpetual war against muslims, just for fun I guess. Oh, but that's just crazy talk. Don't look into it, just dismiss it out of principle.

My dislike for Obama, his office, and the federal American govt are all based on reality, on legitimate disagreement. We have different priorities, me and them. But for you guys to say I am like the Town Hall Wackos (which may be plants) is rude and without truth. I could pretend to be a crazy person, but I am not.

Thanks all, I hope we can continue this discussion.

Seriously, if you're going to talk about "Shadow government" and make ridiculous comparisons without substantial evidence to back up your claims, there's nothing to talk about. Most of us here like to deal with evidence and facts.

I'm talking about evidence and facts.

I listed a lot of facts, did you get that memo?

The reference to (quote, unquote) "shadow government" was trying to put a name to the obvious conclusion that the people who are really in charge are hand picking presidents. If there is, in theory, someone more in charge than the executive branch of the government, that would make it a "shadow government". I use the term with quotations to show that I know it's use has been invalidated by lunatics.

If I can't use any term that has ever been used by a crazy person, I will have a much limited vocabulary.

Quote:ridiculous comparisons without substantial evidence
If you would so kindly reference post #9, so I don't have to quote myself...
Those are what I take to be facts. Argue with them. Don't ignore them. Did Obama name almost the entirety of his office from only two think tanks? I think it's a fact, argue with it. Can we go and read the literature put out by these very think tanks, to get a feel for where this administration is going? Because they have interesting works, have you read them? They are factual, in the sense that they exist, and I referenced them. Argue with that. Did Obama seal his school records? Was that in fact literally the first thing he did in office? I think so, I purport those as fact, argue with them.

Argue with the facts I am trying to present, or don't. But don't pretend I am friggin Glenn Beck. You get sidetracked when I try to use the term "shadow government" to describe what I think is... ...well, by definition, a shadow government. But I put it in quotations, to try to show that I admitted that the value of that word has been compromised...

I would love to discuss this issue, but you are starting to sound like Kyu.
Thanks,
-Pip
