I couldn't convince anyone, but also nobody was able to convince me that an odd can create such complex systems.

But I assume nobody thinks about it these days, since most missionaries use that argument . (not just christians).

Clap

This is easily explained through science. No god required.

I think they covered this some when in primary school.

Now, the guy smelled something fishy. If you still think, that the universe doesn't point to god, then you have a problem. I wouldn't contradict Einstein if I were you.

Just because somebody is right about one thing it doesn't mean they are right about everything, no matter how smart they are.

And the other thing which points to god.. Don't you think that life on earth is just a little bit too easy ? and our main issues come from fellow humans, not from nature ?

Too easy?

Perhaps for you. I doubt the people starving to death, dying of disease or born with severe disabilities would agree.

In other religions, the god who allows other gods to tell him what to doesn't worth it either.

So your saying there are multiple gods now?

Your making less and less sense.

You know cos the best way to say you like humans is with threat of torture.

But he must take the exam so his paper would speak instead of me.

A teacher would not torture the student for failing and would take action in order to prevent the student failing.

And you will be judged from your own actions. Notice that god didn't force you to do any, instead he gave you a mind to distinguish .

Well I didn't elect god. I didn't agree to the rules. And I am to be tortured for breaking them. Not at all like a dictator.

Yep, I hate using such critical arguments since they might backfire.

I think they covered this some when in primary school.

I would like to know how you understand a statement like "explained through science".

They didn't explain where the phenomena comes from, but how it takes place.

Do you know the concept of recursion ? In Computer Science, it's a function calling a function for infinity, unless you put a brick point called "the base case", to stop the function call at a certain time.

In any science in the world, you go into a recursive rode, until you reach the base case. In any physical object you would reach the atom, that's your base case.

I want you to explain to me where the base case comes from in your opinion : ) You can also find a lot of other base cases inside the atom itself. I'm not asking about what an atom is.

Am asking where this atom came from.

Please tell me you started to see the point.

Hmm, another critical argument, but I would not comment by the famous (the same goes for...)

Quote:Too easy?

Perhaps for you. I doubt the people starving to death, dying of disease or born with severe disabilities would agree.

Without war, with money given to poor on daily bases, if pollution stopped, most of that would just vanish.

People are throwing food in the garbage in a country like saudi arabia.

This is rise by the way. I think that if every saudi family gave half of that to the poor on fixed bases, the hunger crisis in africa would vanish.

Don't throw human apathy over god.

Let's end it by the military budget of the U.S . If they invested in helping the hungry instead of developing a war machine, we would've ended the hunger in the world too.

Quote:So your saying there are multiple gods now?
Quote:Your making less and less sense.

My point again :

To search for the right religion, you would start by examining the god of that religion.

In christianity, god is almost a human. He even has a child. Thus ; a god who acts like humans & have children is not even divine (argument about how christianity look at god,, THIS IS AN OPPOSING ARGUMENT )

In other religions like Hinduism, the concept of many gods (again, another opposing argument) means that those gods are week, if only one of them was divine enough, the others would've worshipped him.

I'm writing opposing POV on other religions : )

Quote:You know cos the best way to say you like humans is with threat of torture.

The concept of torture (again) is different from god's perspective.
My whole topic was about that perspective

Quote:So you just have to be gullible Wink

Or humble.

Quote:You would think that..

totally

Quote:A teacher would not torture the student for failing and would take action in order to prevent the student failing.

That's why a prophet was sent.
and again, when a student fails, the teacher would not torture him, but would rather leave him to his fate.

Quote:Well I didn't elect god. I didn't agree to the rules. And I am to be tortured for breaking them. Not at all like a dictator.

Being divine, all god's rules are divine also, they are the right thing to do. Contradicting them, means you're either doing the wrong thing, or prone to do the wrong thing.

No, thats how humanity fucks up, it looks for superstition rather than facts.

Evolution was around long before our current politics, boarders or religions or superstitions. Even before humans started writing they made up earthy gods like animals and volcanos. When we started the written traditions poltheism and monotheism rose out of human ignorance and credulity creating all sorts of legends and myths.

It is why newer religions like Mormonism and Sceintology came about. It also would not surprise me if humans invented a new cult surrounded by the fiction of Star Wars or Harry Potter.

Humans like their superstitions but evolution doesn't care what our personal fantasies are. It will continue no matter what political or religious utopias we try to force on each other. Just as old religions die, so will our current ones. They will either change, or die. But evolution is not dependent on labels.

I really want to believe this is just an act on this moron's part, but it also would not surprise me that his delusion and or mental illness may cause him to think "The Force" is real. This is how new cults and religions start. Get a nut to spew crap, sell it to gullible people.

Religion also doesn't care about your personal fantasies.
One the biggest fantasies of any human, is divinity.

The idea of the "royal blood" is an evidence of that.
Evolution supports that claim too ; since believing that nobody is above you.

Religions like Islam are the ones who don't go with your fantasy. It teaches that you're week, and a divine being is there above you.

I guess if all humans believed they are equal & week, then most our problems would simply vanish.

But hey, darwin wasn't racist at all..

Quote:"At some future period, not very distant as measured in centuries, the civilized races of man will almost certainly exterminate, and replace, the savage races throughout the world." (162f)
Charles Darwin

While god said

Quote:Humans, we created you from one soul, then made its pair from it, then spread from those two souls many men & women"

Interesting.

If you go by the standard model, the smallest particle is a quark.

If you go by string theory, the smallest constituent is a string.

Where did these things come from?
We don't really know.

Why did they come about?
Does there have to be a reason? Does there have to be an anterior motive?

If yes, the god hypothesis must be subjected to the same line of questioning. Where did the god come from? why?

The theist concept only pushes the question one step back, while presenting an unverifiable answer to the previous step.
Many have claimed then that god is eternal and has always been there, and whatever.... Why can't I make the same claim for the Universe's constituents?
As far as verifiability, we're on the same stand-point.
Why would someone add the extra step?
