You know, I cant help but think that both the guys in ABBA were classically trained musicians, meaning having knowledge of Bach and Beethoven. Metallica's member are also classically trained. I thought I would hate their S&M album, but it was damned good.

I think of ABBA now, beyond lyrics, and it still draws upon the highs and lows and ups and downs and turn on a dime melody changes of classical music, just like Metallica, with the same intensity.

I just had a thought. I would love to hear Metallica do a version of "The Winner Takes It All". They have slow songs too like "Fade To Black" and "One".

Or "The Name Of The Game". Holly shit what Hetfield could do and Lars could do with that.
