Explain this, Christians:

If satan was an archangel who sinned and was sent to earth as punishment. Yet there is supposedly no sin in heaven.

Because people who sin in heaven are cast out of it like Satan and Adam and Eve were? Your question seems to answer itself really.

Yeah, but while he was sinning, he was still in heaven, so there was sin in heaven, even if just for a bit. Or did he just take a vacation and went to sin some place else? Sounds a lot like me and my last trip to Rio

I suppose it's a freewill issue, like you can sin in heaven but you wouldn't particularly want to because you will be full of the Holy Spirit. But the moment you do you're out, so it's all taken care of. Though perhaps humans would be allowed to sin to some degree and stay in heaven because they have had Jesus die for their sins so they won't have to be flawless if you want a full on Christian explanation. Satan being an angel won't have been covered.

In my personal experience, the desire to sin increases exponentially when full of spirits, holy or not. At least that's how it works with me.
