....I love lamp!
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Calm down, just because we have the details wrong doesn't mean the words and concepts lose -all- value, a christian should be acutely aware of this......
After all, your details are shit but here you are, arguing for the value and worth of the concept that underlies them, eh?

Yet we do choose, even if we choose to think we have no choice.

IIRC Genk doesn't require our "free will" or "choices" to be "free" of things like causality or determinism, in fact I recall him mentioning that it would be ridiculous to postulate that they were. It just diversionary horseshit on the part of Chad to go that route, and it wouldn't matter in any case, as it amounts to an argument from consequence. Suppose our existence was just a chain of deterministic this and thats? So what? To hell with consequence, if that's what it is that's what it is, this is no criticism at all, it's just a dodge. You don't like the consequence, oh cry me a river......

Whoah. I'm having a flashback and I didn't even drop acid.
Are we boring you, Chad?

You got it backwards
Actually it is religions that have always claimed to have all the answers, atheism is about realizing you don't know everything.
and yes, we BLINDLY FOLLOW. What a perfect way to describe a lack of belief in bronze age superstition passed down through generation to generation and indoctrinated into children which is believed unquestionably despite a lack of evidence. but atheists 'blindly follow' yeah....

I know this quote's a few pages back, but I just have to respond to this: I don't take the book for fucking anything okay? But there are people who do, and that's why I care. I know you've got your own personal idea of the scriptures, that parts of it were faked, but not everybody agrees with you, and the opinions of those people are the only reason I give a crap about your bible at all.
And when you've got a single verse saying it's all fake, and the rest of the book saying it's absolute heavenly truth, why should I be taking your reading over anyone else's? It's all just interpretation, by people, trying to cover up for the fact that the entire book, from top to bottom, is shoddily written, by a ton of different authors from a more ignorant time without any kind of collaboration, passing it all off as real to a more credulous populace. You are advocating for an interpretation of an interpretation of a translation of a fourth and fifth hand (at least!) account of something that nobody can provide proof for in the first place.
It's literally all cherrypicking, and I'll have no part in it.

Really? Show me one verse where it says it's absolute heavenly truth...
(and I've got more than one verse)
