Kewl! Now if I can just get these scissors to cut the coupon out from my new computer's display . . .

In deference to our new Roman Catholic member, I do not try to be divisive, neither on this forum or the other fora around here, nor for that matter even when I am out and about in my village.

I suspect more can be accomplished not with tolerance (because there are some things that should not be tolerated), but with quiet explanation or discussion.

That said, I am human, and sometimes go off the rails about things that I am passionate about. I wish to be called on the carpet when my discussion goes from reasonable to unreasoned, in a way which points out any error or illogical thinking. I am not so self-absorbed I cannot accept being shown to be wrong and admitting it.

So, welcome aborad! (I think I posted that back on page one.) I do hope you find whatever it is you seek here.

I am not a Catholic, nor never have been a Christian, but I believe that line from the Bible of "The wages of sin are death" refers back to the presumed "first sin" of Adam and Eve.

Thus the believer would presume that all suffer death from that sin, and being a righteous believer, an inspiring minister, or even the Pope does not exempt you from that judgement.

On the other hand, it could have something to do with the ends of DNA getting shorter with each cell division, but that's just science talking.
