Well that's one thing I agree with, but only one. Being a small business owner I love capitalism. The service and goods I have to offer doesn't do anything for anyone except play on their vanity, or maybe capture a memory. If it weren't for capitalism I wouldn't have a business.

The lazy poor people healthcare talk ties in to liberal ideas. It's the far left wingers that are ok with lazy poor people not having a job and feel we should just take care of them because "that's our civic duty". This whole thread is about liberalism and what makes someone liberal.
Malcolm X yeah.....I don't really have anything good to say about that man. Whoever influenced who isn't important. Bottom line...he spread racism but it was Black Supremacy instead of White Supremacy. King spread equality and so he was a more important figure.
Meatball...why do you have this assumption that Libertarians are ok with anyone doing anything at any time? Everyone realizes that we have to have laws. Just because I'm ok with someone smoking pot or even crack in their living room doesn't mean I'm ok with people who hurt innocent people. We Libertarians are ok with getting rid of laws that try to govern a persons personal life. Of course all of the things gang members do are illegal but have you noticed they don't care? Have you not noticed that they actually believe going to jail is a part of their life? That it makes you a man if you go to jail. I mean how do you control people like that? You make it illegal for them to even belong or associate with a group that promotes violent crime. The idea is breaking up their groups because that is where they draw their power from. You can't educate the children to not join the gang because they are practically forced to join. There is no other way to stop it without government intervention.

You didn't understand my point.
Murder is illegal. Gangbangers murder people anyway.
Theft is illegal. Gangbangers steal anyway.
Selling drugs is illegal. Gangbangers sell drugs anyway.
So, let's make it illegal for them to be with other gangbangers. Problem solved!

That doesn't solve the problem. It breaks up the organization. At that point it is easier for police to control streets. If I moved into a town and I had one person come to my house and say "you are white and so this isn't a white nieghborhood...if you want to live then you will pay me X amount of money each month" I'd laugh and tell them to go to hell and then I'd probably call the cops and tell them about it. If I knew that same person had twenty, thirty, or more people behind them that would all make my life a living hell if I didn't pay then I'd probably pay. I could call the police on a couple of them and tell them about it. They won't lock up every gang member for that..only the ones that I had contact with. That is if they can even find evidence to substanciate my reports. So then the gang members that didn't get arrested would still make me pay them and probably would physically hurt me or destroy my property. Police can not control an organization like that.
How do you think gangs are able to communicate from prison? It's because of their size. Someone puts someone in prison...the outside gang members will kill that person. There are even situations where people to go prison but get a lesser charge because they ratted someone out...then gang members inside prison will kill them. They don't care. It's all about thier "gang" and their stupidity. They think they own people, places, blocks, etc.

Also do the same for " racism in the british police force "...you'll find it illuminating.

If you Google "2012 End of the World" you also get some testaments to its very existence. Using Google is not a substitute for reasoning in a debate; all Google does is show how many times something is mentioned. It is an argumentum ad populum on your part; a logical fallacy.
I never doubted there was racism in the police force; what I doubted was your opinion that education doesn't solve the problem. I also opposed affirmative action because all it does is promote racism rather than solve it. It is understandable why some people become racist if minorities are getting jobs that they don't deserve. Double edged sword, as I stated before.
Great to see you do have some nice family values. Disowning your son because he has an opposing view to you. Wow...just wow.

It's obvious that gangsters, the kind we're discussing, have no regard for the rule of law. What would make them follow laws forbidding them from associating with other gangsters?
If murder laws don't stop gangsters from killing people, why specifically would these laws work any better?
