If by humility you actually mean insanity, then I agree with you.

This is where you got it wrong, if you attribute any of it to God, because that isn't what the bible says. Fools will tell you otherwise, but you'll always be on a losing wicket playing that card. Don't let me stop you trying though.

It is indeed humbling to realize there is much we do not understand. However, it is not humility to bury our heads in the sand to ignore what we know is true for the sole purpose of rationalizing a false belief.

I have never done this in my entire life. I have never buried my head to ignore what it true. Sometimes I wish that I had because not doing this has cost me so much.

any act of immorality in the bible that i mention to them, i get the response "God has a bigger plan and he see's the bigger picture. we do not understand why these things happened, and no one can understand. No one can understand the mind of God".

i do not know how to reply to that. i feel like there should be an easy answer.. but im just missing it.

any help?

If I loved someone with all my heart, and I used them as a means to a greater end, doesn't that undermine this "love" I have for them? God killing people for the greater good isn't a god that is all-loving.

Um, excuse me but astrophysics is an example of something that people might not be able to know easily.

Your goat herders god manual is merely representative of the kind of superstitious nonsense which was quite common in the ancient world.

Beginning in 1492 Europeans began landing/exploring and eventually settling in the New World. Our culture grew from that.
