How to start a new sect/new religion for dummies.

1. Bitch about how the status quo sucks.
2. Bitch about unfairness and inequity.
3. Pass yourself off as the solution, good for claiming to be a prophet, or to start a new sect.
4. Offer the sales pitch of impossible utopias that don't exist in reality.
If that doesn't work.
1. Bitch about how the status quo sucks
2. Bitch about unfairness and inequality.
3. Look at surrounding and past religions, change the details and names, but keep[ the motifs you like.
4. Demonize the parts of the surrounding you don't like, pass your ideas off as original.
5. Incorporate ideas of justice, and create an underdog character who wins in the end.
6. Offer the sales pitch of impossible utopias that don't exist in reality.
Joseph Smith was a con and he started a successful splinter sect of Christianity. The Rasta Religion is still based on African Jewish/Christian motifs. L. Ron Hubbard a SI FI writer, also managed to pull shit out of his ass and convince people he was right.

But Brian that's" postmodernism " we need to turn to the magic book that caused the schism in the first place to solve the schism

Embolden members to embrace plural marriages, or offer ritual/group sex. That sort of stuff seems to get folk's motors running.

^there is no pointing in telling everyone there are false religions. Everyone understands that even as children.
If there is another point to be made that isn't obvious, then make it. This does nothing to help the case of Atheists.

The New Age stuff does a fairly good job at attracting followers. New Age are things like Mega Churches or Scientology.
