This observation from Matt Dillahunty's Facebook wall:
Quote:Regarding legal challenge to disprove literal Genesis: Courts don't allow spectral evidence. Thus, he loses by default. Where's my $10,000?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

It's almost as if he's scared of a real debate, isn't it?

If there was an "equal" chance of going up or down, then life could never get as complicated as it is, thus it certainly can be said that evolution is directional.

It's not a 50/50 chance that a species would evolve to be either more complex or simpler, it depends on the pressures that the environment puts on the species and thus, only the ones that are able to adapt best will be able reproduce. Kind of like how the snakes lost their legs when they didn't need them anymore, or other examples of unneeded appendages withering away. Are you fucking kidding me? Snakes aren't lacking appendages because of evolution. Genesis is quite clear about this. Serpents only lost appendages as divine punishment after convincing Eve to eat from the tree of knowledge. Fact. Genesis says so.
