On Non-belief

I equate your statement of superiority to that of racism. The racist believes that the different person is less than "his own kind". You do that to Christians. Quit it. I'm pretty sure Christians can think just like people because they are... well... people.

Quote:It is enough for you that the Bible sometimes mentions real events. You'll ignore, or dismiss, the fact that it is the sole source for most of the events it claims to be true. You sloppily dismiss errors and contradictions as unimportant, and arbitrarily so. For you, it is enough that societal norms in western civilization coincide slightly with biblical morals, ignoring the fact that western society viciously shuns many biblically-moral activities such as slavery, misogyny, child murder, genocide, and rape.

I have not said most of this. You put words in my mouth in order to straw man me. It is what you are best at. You try to look better than your opponent by bringing the opponent down rather than actually making an argument.

Further, I've already addressed most of these things on other threads and you keep saying the same stupid things. That is not what i believe, you know that's not what I believe, but it makes me look bad by continuing to straw man me. You must have no argument against me. I will take these insults as compliments.

Quote:So, take a moment from insulting someone else for not acknowledging the multiple contexts of the world 'research' and remember that one of them is "analysis of a work of fiction", which is the sort of research you're really engaging in.

So I'm supposed to take a moment from insulting... and then you insult me? Lol. This is probably why you don't argue: you refute yourself every time you try. Not to mention your assertion that any sort of philosophical or theological assertion is "analysis of a work of fiction" is completely baseless, especially with secular history corresponding to it completely. That means other civilizations also recorded what the Jews did on multiple instances.
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

Whereabouts? Secular history btw....? LOL. No, there is history, then there is legend, then there is myth. If you stripped your holy books of every reference to magic (even the kinds of magic that go un-noticed nestled between the bigger pieces of magic) it would still barely raise to the level of legend. In fact, one of the most dramatic failures of the narrative (more accurately the failure of -some- of it's adherents in claiming) is that it is -not- history.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
