Where do you come from?
#21
RE: Where do you come from?
Born in New York City, lived here all of my life. First eleven years were spent in this building in the South Bronx:

On September 11th, 2001 I was about four miles away from these two buildings:

I still work about three city blocks away from this one:

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

And this is a few miles down the road from where I live today.

I would not at all mind living where I could look forward to that.

Ryan -

Having driven through Richmond way too many times, I can only concur. I think I can smell that city upon approach. Agreement also about Roanoke.

I supposedly have an uncle in Danville, KY too, and also my aunt lived there, but we don't talk to that side of the family much.

We're one of the biggest cities in the South and yet traffic never gets as bad as other big cities, we have lots of fine arts events going on, and our zoo has dinosaurs.

But does it have children riding them?

Just south of Houston, Texas.

I was born in New Orleans, LA.

I have lived most of my life Valrico, FL.

I joined the U.S. Army and have been almost everywhere in the world. But, there is no place like home. I should be home in August.

Didn't we have a global map? Whatever happened to that?

When the server went down, I don't think the map came back.
