Boy's Names....
|
|
I laughed
Picking names for kids is tough.
Scruffy refuses me the right to name our future son Garrus or Théoden..
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
"T Rex" was a non-starter for my wife.
I wanted to go with Neil deGrasse Tyson, followed by my last name. I was vetoed.

Reminds me of.......
Quote:There was a crowded waiting room at a medical office and the patients had signed in and a nurse called their names when it was their turn to see the doctor. At one point, the door opened and the harried nurse came out, picked up the list, looked at it strangely, shook her head and called out:
i saw this and looked under the girls most popular names. i have twin girls born in 2012 named abigail and madison. both are on the list. I got a kick out of that
My dad wanted to name my sister Trillian.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
I never understood the first name of a person. It always seemed odd to me that you had no choice in your name throughout your life. Yes, I do realize that a baby can't name itself you smartj-asses, but most people who hate their name (which I do not) will still keep it out of some sense of duty or maybe just plain old habit.
You have to have it your whole life, and since many parents are fucktards when it comes to names (like naming a boy Francis), you should change your name to whatever you wish to be called. |
