Unfalsifiable or Not-yet-falsified?

There seems to be some confusion over these two things. I've spent too many posts in an unrelated thread <The Thread> attempting to explain it the difference, but...ugh.
I was interested to see if others view this as an important distinction...
Anybody care to offer more examples? Why are these two types of claims different? Is one more valuable than another? Does it matter if a claim cannot be confirmed or falsified? Why?...
