Hmm. I couldn't get past the part where the woman is not going to be doing anything for a year. A woman actually does not have to be out for more than a week when she gives birth. Maternity leave is rarely as long as a year and few jobs require so much physical labor that a woman cannot do the job. In fact, few shop jobs even require heavy lifting. We have machines for that.

The shop I work in does require heavy lifting but the women who have worked there who got pregnant still came in and just asked for help with the heavy lifting, it's not always practical though in certain jobs within the store. Ah so, in the UK discriminating based on pregnancy is classified as gender based discrimination? Here the hiring laws have their own header under the civil rights title, and if you're already employed it's covered under short term disability admin. FML stuff, available to both men and women.

Fuck you, you dumb fuck.
Why do you think that tiny little pathetic excuse for a dick you keep in your pants makes you better than me? A 5 months pregnant wouldn't be refused a job because she's pregnant, but because she'll shortly be taking 6-12 months of paid leave. If a man with a 5 month pregnant partner, or a man who was about to adopt a newborn, who was going to take a long paternity leave was going for that job he would have the exact same problem. Their gender has fuck all to do with it. Why wouldn't the woman get the security job? I've known loads of female security officers? Nice to know how little you think of your own mother and other female family members. RE: Men and Women equal? No, never.

When you say men and women aren't equal I take it you mean men and women aren't equal in different industries, in general most men will be suitable for certain jobs and women will be better at other jobs?

Needless to say some of the employees took Amazon to court, I don't know what happened after that but a colleague of mine told me that he went to work in the morning after 9/11 to find the names of all Muslim employees on a board for redundancies, which is blatant xenophobia. There's something about US companies and the US in general that's so anti-Islam). Totally off-topic though. Do you have a citation for this claim? Re: RE: Men and Women equal? No, never.

Most women take the whole year, but some only take 6 months because the pay goes down half-way through.
