My evil black weekend project

RE: My evil black weekend project
Apparently, you can make a guitar based on a rifle:

No, that's not photoshop. It's called an Escopetarra.

I built it to use for 3-gun matches.

I think there's some parts of the military where that sort of thing's actually standard. Apparently, in Week 3, you receive a rifle, and you spend a good portion of the next few weeks dismantling and rebuilding it over and over until you're ready to pistol-whip the Drill Sergeant. And some even teach doing so blindfolded; so that if a soldier gets eye damage or is in a sandstorm and needs to fix his gun, he can easily do so. So, it's not just something they made up for Forrest Gump. Of course, doing so in less than a minute, I'm not sure about.

Only an armorer (and maybe some special forces troops) would be trained to take down a gun into that many pieces. Most soldiers would get in big trouble for taking a trigger group apart.

Haveing gone through a compulsory basic training { no bell to ring } in a country which invented gorilla warfare, I could strip and reassemble my R4 without looking at it, I knew my rifle like a body part, you would sleep with it, it would go to the toilet with you, you would eat with it, I would be caked in mud and grime, the scabs on my knees and elbows would be septic and oozing puss, but my rifle would be spotless, if caught even, with ones back to it, that trainee would be severely chastised, a favoured method was to force water down the throat, whilst beating and forceing the trainee to star jump, water would be continualy forced in. until vomiting, this would go on and on, until the trainee was mentally and physically broken, this being a favoured method of punishment was by no means the worst, but thats another subject !

I finally got the optics mounted on the new rifle.

And got it to the range. I didn’t have anything to bore sight the scope so I zeroed it at 25 yards using a target I drew up just for this rifle / bullet combination. Then I moved the target back to 100 yards and shot two five shot groups. The first one is the lower one. Three clicks up on the scope then the upper group. It shoots better than I expected. It also ran great. 140 rounds first time out and not a single hiccup.
