Just what immoral teaching are you referring to, I use to teach young people and I know I did not teach anything that was remotely close to immoral.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I don't ...

I assume that there is no God, and then search for the evidence which supports it, cuz Atheism is just another religion/belief-system, right ? Dead Horse

I suspect that, when you were teaching, if you taught bible study at all, you very wisely redacted the immoral parts. All that incest and rape and murder and exhortations to the same.

Very sensible of you, but let's not be dishonest and pretend the bible is free from corrupt acts, nor corrupt rules supposedly ordained by god. For example, we rarely go around murdering people for having a different religion or sexual orientation, though that's in the bible.

Nor do we own slaves...

Taught young people, how admirable. I bet you never told the young people who the mother of Enos was, did you?

I also actively pick up sticks, on every day, including the Sabbath.

Many of us gather to pick sticks and take them from one place to another. We hold hands and sing whilst we do it. And then god comes along and ruins all our fun. Why can't he cut us a break?

You've sparked my curiosity but I hate opening a bible. [Waves of nausea, that kind of thing.] Any hints into who Enos 'was' or what his full relationship was to his mother? Any chance they were also siblings? I can assure you, my interest is completely prurient with no interest in the larger religious implications whatsoever.

Is it because God has not provided evidence to you, that you feel there is no God? If so that begs the question, who are you that God personally provide you with anything?

And what about those people with different gods and their evidence. How do you work that out in your mind Drich. Do you file it under ..delusion.....lying....mass conspiracy against christianity????

That is creepy.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

This was a person's post on my FB newsfeed. I just have to ask... is everyone so deluded and comfortable in the glass box of Christianity that absolutely no evidence contrary to your worldview will be even remotely considered? Is the reason literally because anything contrary "exceeds the simplicity of Jesus Christ"? Is questioning your thoughts, feelings, and actions so horrible of a predicament that unless you have a book telling you exactly how to think, feel, and act you can't function properly?
Always cracks me up when something like this is posted on an atheist forum. The Christians here are obviously comfortable with challenges to our worldview, or we wouldn't be here. You guys are the ones in the safety zone on this site.
