A Jurassic avialan dinosaur from China...

No sir. One guy who sold fossils over there glued two different slabs together creating a composite of two different fossils. This was discovered a week after it was announced that a new fossil had been found. It was one fossil, and was over a decade ago. And the guy who did it wasn't even a paleontologist, though he was very good at gluing the slabs together. He was just a guy out to make a lot of money. And ended up in a Chinese jail for his deception. That has nothing to do with this discovery, which was made in a well known fossil bed. Chinese paleontologists are actually very well respected, and have made many important discoveries. Oh, and by the way, co-authors of the discovery include scientists from Belgium, France, and the UK. Who's the idiot now, childboy?

So prove it.

And just "the Chinese?" Not any specific Chinese scientific agency or group? Just "the Chinese?" All Chinese scientists?

This whole thing might be the most pathetic shit you've ever started here, GC.

Laziest, blindest bunch of nutjobs I've ever seen, go to doubtfulnews.com, then in the search box put in chinese bird fossil, read article and all attachments, that is if you dare.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Again, if you have actual evidence that this fossil has been altered, please post it now.

Let me guess, you think the chinese are becoming like Christians have always been?

dream on. They are a cultured and ancient race, and far better than that.

Btw, unlike Christian frauds such as the bible, the Chinese feathered dinosaur seem genuine to modern science. So clearly the power of the Chinese surpass the omnipotence of Jesus and Chinese fossils a more refined reflection of the truth than the best the artifices of jesus groupies down the ages can contrive. So perhaps you do better to worship confucius And his 12 feathered dinosaurs rather than Jesus and his 12 disciples.

Congratulations GC! You have now provided the minimum amount of evidence required for honest scientific discourse! Not without bitching and moaning like a toddler, that was super fun, but you got there in the end! Do me a favor and look at my posts in any other evolution thread in this subforum; notice how I always post references to the things I say? See how easy that makes it for people to check up if I'm full of shit or not?

As to the nature of your reference itself... No. Seriously, come on. First of all, you outright lied when you said there was doubt about this fossil specifically; there's doubt about fossils from China due to instances of tampering, and that elicits a degree of caution, but even your own link mentions nothing about this fossil in particular showing hallmarks that would indicate this. Secondly, a quick google search for additional sources to confirm your claim about this fossil yields no results (however, this very page is the top link! Tongue ) If I were being charitable, the best I could say is that you're drastically overstating the level of doubt surrounding this find, either due to misinterpretation or dishonesty. I can't say which for sure, but your reticence to post your sources hints that it's the latter.

Incidentally folks, this is the sole source GC has on this. See how easy that was? And how much more honest I seem, making myself accountable for the claims I've made, GC?

GC, unlike you I actually posted the link to the article, everyone can see which of us is telling the truth and which of us is drastically overstating his case. I wasn't the one acting like I had something to hide.

I wonder why you were? Thinking
