Well well, it's been a while, Kiki. I was like, 8, last time I saw you.

Certainly you cannot change 7 billion people. But I am against religion as a concept. Not in any sense of outlawing it, but in the sense that it needs to be discussed, debated and ridiculed at a minimum to keep it from thinking it deserves a pedestal.
Without the ability to question anything, including politics which can also be dogmatic, the world can and often does foster more tribalism when the label creates a climate of "I'm special"
None of our current religions were around 500,000 years ago, nor our boarders, and in the future something will cause our species to go extinct. So I really do get pissed off at ANYONE who thinks their race or religion or political party makes them the center of the universe.

A girl on a broom flying, well, what do you know, this explains everything the Wright Brothers learned to build the first airplane.

I've often had pause to wonder if old people simply were born that way... or rather: if the universe is only a day old, and everything remembered (or not) by old people is simply how the universe came into being.
This must be so, because it's obvious that you had no childhood.

I had a childhood no better or worse than most. I simply see the damage of mixing dreaming like laypeople do with always being a possibility because they are too lazy to do the work to test and see if it is.
Good dreaming isn't delusional. Accepting something as merely a dream is fine, but it gets humans really fucked up when they are so credulous as to lead others off a cliff.
I don't mind a good fantasy or escape as long as it is accepted as such. But far too much of our species doesn't do that, and it screws up our species quite often when it is confused as being fact.

I've sometimes found myself pondering that myself. I wonder if it's a common part of the human experience? Or maybe at some level we share the same brain...
If so, you might at least rinse it out or something once you're finished with it.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

This man sees the damage of imagination. Uncle Verne and you would get along right nicely.

Wouldn't the credulous ones be the ones who are following the one person off a cliff? Just a thought.

You're funny, Brian. I think it's unintentional... but I'm glad you're giving me a laugh

Welcome, I took the long road myself. Kinda had my own variation on wiccan for a while.

Great for you! You're on the right track when the path you're following doesn't have (or need) an official name anymore
