Has the Supreme Court ruled that? I haven't seen anything yet.

Yeah, I just got the ruling a few minutes ago. It's pretty damn awesome. Plus, Houston pride is this weekend so the festivities should be extra celebratory because of this.
Next is the ruling on Prop 8 in California. Even if they don't rule it unconstitutional, I really don't see it lasting that long. The Mormons had to use a lot of their resouces to get that passed several years ago and public opinion has shifted a lot since then. If another vote were held today, I don't think Prop 8 would pass in California. If it's struck down, depending on the exact wording used in the ruling, it could open the floodgates for same sex marriage acroyear or soss the nation. If the court rules against us, it could halt the momentum same sex marriage has had over the past few years.

Reading fstdt.com for the next week or so will be fun. I expect to read comments from fundies about:
How the gay agenda is leading the country ever closer to Satan
How this means that gays will soon be able to abduct your children for gay sex orgies and there's nothing you can do about it
Evil gay people are just trying to destroy Christianity by destroying traditional marriage
How this means that Jesus is coming back soon
Gay people will now be allowed to have gay sex on your lawn in front of your children
People are just getting more and more depraved
etc. etc.

The Prop 8 ruling is a good bonus for me, but it doesn't seem to be nearly as wide a ruling as the DOMA ruling was. It really opens the door for further court actions later on down the road.
For example, about a year ago, I went to school with a guy who was here in the US because his partner had his job transfered to Houston. Thing was, since they were a same sex couple and DOMA was in effect, he couldn't come over as a spouse and had to get in on a student VISA which, in turn, caused there to be all kinds of rules and regulations about what he could and couldn't do (he couldn't get a job, for example). But he lived in Texas, a state that doesn't have same sex marriage. If, before they moved from Canada, they had gotten married, would they still qualify for federal benefits or would they not qualify becase they're in a state that doesn't recognize same sex marriage? Or, for that matter, what would happen to a couple that gets married in a state that allows their marriage and then they move to another state that doesn't?
Striking down DOMA is really going to be damaging to the foundation of the ban on same sex marriage. The wins for GLBT people will pick up quickly.
Now I just can't wait to see the whining the fundies do. It's going to be a little hypocritical to hear the "I hate government regulations" crowd start whining that they want more government regulation of marriage.
