American atheists movements have also moved in that direction.

Anyway...

Every Christian church believes in an ovious fraud, so no reason to damn the mormons for it especially. At last they never murdered 100 000 000 people in the new world alone, like the great christian churches did.

I thought this thread would be informing about sinister inside things of the LDS church(es) of today, like religious mind control, corruption et cetera.

Instead for the 1000th time this thread brings the old "Joseph Smith digged for treasure in his early teens, so he must have been the worst of all men!" routine. Or : "Mormons believe in the Book of Mormon, so they are despicable!" routine.
As good I could say :"Jews believe in the Torah and Talmud, so they are despicable!"
See what I mean ? The argument is not logical.

So does anyone here have some real inside information about sinister ongoings in todays LDS churches or not?

This isn't a conspiracy theorist's corner.

Mormonism may be an obvious fraud to the trained skeptic, but I was a missionary once and I saw firsthand how the Church can dupe the unwitting. There's some serious psychological damage that happens when someone stays in the Church for a long time, so it's a very serious matter, and any and all information on this organization, I feel, should be talked about whenever possible, not only if there's some big, sinister, underhanded plot going on.

You want underhanded? You should look up the time when the LDS Church's last president, Gordon B. Hinckley, actually gave in to blackmail. Or have you heard about the Mountain Meadows Massacre or Blood Atonement?

And even if you have, we're talking about things that everyday people can understand. I didn't make this thread for shock value, but as a place for people to share information. And the Thread title is catchy, so I don't feel bad that you got drawn into reading it.

Now, do you have anything real to contribute, or are you going to gripe about something you have no control over?

RE: Uh oh! Mormonism!
Angel CloudNow I have an interesting question which came to my mind this morning : Earlier in this thread it is correctly stated that mormonism strives to dominate the world. This is clear because Mormons (and JW) practice the door to door mission in a thoroughly organized manner. As an inside man you will know what I mean. The missionaries system is built like military. Every point in the world has mormon district leaders et ceteraThinking

Now my question for you as an inside man : Is there a mormon plan for the time when every living person has become a mormon ? When the mormon mission has reached everyone ?

I do not ask for reasons of conspiracy sensationalism. I just want to know If there is some sort of plan that is known for the time when the monstrous apparatus of mormon mission will be obsolete. Is there a plan for what purpose it will be used then . How would the mormons reshape the world ?

You know what really annoys me. The need for them to have to advertise themselves like a commercial business, well... which I guess they are.

Have you guys seen the I'm a Mormon commercials?

And I actually like some of her music. Damm it.

The answers to these questions rest largely on the shoulders of speculation. Most sheeple within the Mormon Church don't think past the idea that the earth could be dominated by them. They believe that everyone will eventually be Mormons, but this is something they think will occur post-apocalypse.

Also, talking with Mission Presidents and General Authorities in rare instances has given a little bit of insight about what those days will be like following the "Second Coming". (Jesus touches down on the Mount of Olives, and the ground is split in two, then the wicked will burn and the righteous will become perfected humans, or something elitist like that. During the next 1000 years where Jesus Christ Zombie rules the world, there will be other faiths still, so the Missionary apparatus will still be around...just stronger than ever since the physical Jesus will be on earth.

After those 1000 years, the Devil will be let out of his prison (God planned this, mind you), and the armies of Jesus will go against the armies of Satan. Because Satan will have control of the earth again, missionaries will still be necessary.

So I suppose the answer would be that there is no end game for missionary work...there is no thought of ending the door-to-door ministry. Missionaries go door-to-door in Salt Lake City, even though most people there are already LDS.

World domination...well, they just expect it will happen anyway when Christ returns. And, yes, it will be a Mormon Christ.

Bullshit. What determines a cult from a religion is how much control they have over their followers.
