Our Brand is Crisis. 8/10 Good movie, but some of the parallels were a bit eerie. Corrupt businessman running for President. Lots of skeletons in the closet. However he keeps hammering in how much the nation is in a state of crisis due to the previous administration, and how he can save the country, and how he'll create jobs...

The Last Movie You Watched

I just watched Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967). IMO, this is a beautiful movie.
Just watched "I Am Not a Serial Killer" adapted from the book of the same name by Dan Wells. Very good, if not perfect adaptation. Christopher Lloyd does a hell of a job as Mr. Crowley, but the rest of the acting is lukewarm. All in all, I'd give it a 6.5/10. As usual, the book was better.
Thief and assassin for hire. Member in good standing of the Rogues Guild.
"Lobster". Strangest movie about relationships since "Eraserhead".
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!
I watched Pixels, hoping against better judgement to find an adam sandler movie I'd enjoy.
I didn't. The idea behind it: silly but okay I could get into it with a few beers. And the nostalgia factor could've been been there if it'd been done better. But most of the humor was cringeworthy. And I'm hardpressed to recall any character, main cast or supporting, I liked. I guess the child did a remarkeable job in his small role, if only in contradiction to the rest. And Peter Dinklage's performance was only half-bad. At least I now know I can see him in other films and not automatically see Tyrion Lannister.
Jason Bourne. The last and least Bourne film. Bourne is now effortlessly killing anyone that stands against him without all the clever stuff he did in the other films, without the mystery and the struggle. he needs a Molotov cocktail someone walks past holding a Molotov cocktail and then does nothing when he just out right snatches it from their hand. It was like someone decided to do a poor copy of a Bourne film and somehow managed to get all the same people.
It past a couple of hours, but my end review is it was Meh. You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis.
I'm watching The Wizard of Lies now.
Even knowing how it turns out is not diminishing my interest in this very well made and compelling film. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I just watched "A Silent Voice". It was one of the best movies I've ever seen, anime or not. I was probably crying half the movie (both happy and sad tears). If you like movies that take you on an emotional roller-coaster, I highly recommend this one.
I don't believe you. Get over it.

I was a born-again christian for many years then I got woke.. and now life is better in so many ways. It's taking me time to see my value and find my voice, but the reward is liberating knowing my path is not dictated or controlled by fear of death and the unknown. Casting off the shackles of religion is pretty fucking awesome. The beautiful people I've met on this forum have more heart and compassion than any group of people I've been apart of. So back off Jesus and followers, because this bitch is done with Chu.
