The Great Santini

Decided to watch after listening to the book for the second time. The book, as are most of Pat Conroy's, is pretty detailed so the movie was quite an abbreviated version of the story. Back in the day they weren't doing movies as massive as LOTR so squeezing the book into a movie running around two hours was only good because I could fill in the missing parts.
