The Shrouds (2024)
One of the better Cronenberg movies. It's more of a meditation on the current society rather than him trying to tell some story. People are watching corpses decomposing on their phones as having the ultimate mystery or taboo on their screens. Everyone is indifferent, and everything is saturated with AI so that they don't know what and who is real anymore.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I forgot that Ray Walston was in The Sting.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

I had forgotten that James Earl Jones’ dad was also in it.
