Olympus Has Fallen.
I do not normally enjoy movies of this genre, but I decided to watch it because Morgan Freeman was in it.

The great and powerful OZ.
Better than the wizard of Oz in every way.
A surprisingly good film with some fantastic special effects and a good plot that held together well and set up the wizard of Oz nicely.
I liked it and so did my wife.

Olympus Has Fallen
1.5 stars (out of 4)
Koreans take control of the White House and the president. Secret Service agent Gerard Butler must save the day.
Take one part Die Hard, one part Under Siege (which was just Die Hard on a boat), shake well, pour into White House.
Seriously, there were scenes and lines that came right from those other two movies. We usually like Gerard Butler but this was pretty lame.

Pacific Rim. Big robots vs. kaiju. Lot's of nice effects, simple enough story, that didn't get in the way of the action. One of the few movies I wished I had seen in 3D.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

You would like that, wouldn't you?
(For those who haven't seen it, there are religious implications.)
I think it's shameful when anyone tries to join in on a community conversation and gets criticized, maybe staying on the discussion
and tear each other down parts of the forum is best.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

And I think it's shameful when anyone can't take a playful tease but instead has to play the persecution card. I was just pointing out my surprise that a religious person enjoyed a movie with an overtly religious message.
Lighten up, grumpy.

As evidence of just how low I'll sink to get laid, I endured "The Notebook" to placate my demonic, estrogen-spraying fiancé. No amount of Clorox will wash the bad taste from my mouth, and all the insulin in the world would be insufficient to bring my blood sugar back to within a normal range.
I'm plotting my revenge for the weekend: a double feature of "The Dirty Dozen" and "Fight Club."
