I was not defending the cops.  The second to last post that said " I am a cop and can tell you most of us don't harass because we are corrupt, we do it because we are bored and can get away with it"

Seattle police officer fired over arrest of an elderly black man for walking with a golf club

A Seattle police officer was fired on Tuesday over her arrest of an elderly black man last year who refused to drop a golf club he was using as a cane to help him walk, the police department announced.

“Officer Cynthia Whitlatch was served today with a termination notice for sustained policy violations involving bias, abuse of police discretion, and escalation of a contact on July 9, 2014,” Seattle police said in a statement.

A follow-up to a report way back in this thread.  Why did it take 15 months to fire a cop who filed a fraudulent report of the incident?

All of this fact-free fearmongering is having an effect. A Rasmussen poll taken last week found that 58 percent of respondents now believe there is now a “war on police.” Just 27 percent disagreed.

So let’s go through the numbers. Again. So far, 2015 is on pace to see 35 felonious killings of police officers. If that pace holds, this year would end with the second lowest number of murdered cops in decades.
