fine.

But the likelyhood of me ever going to Texas is the same of me ever going to North Korea.

Ha ha ha...So a rain-check then? I'm stationed in VA Beach, got anything against VA?

As a former VA citizen, I only have something against VA Beach. Tongue

It justifies their hatred. Before that, Jar Jar was just an annoying douche. After that, he's the annoying douche that gives rise to the Empire.

Lucas fully intended to have Jar Jar be the same old Jar Jar that he was in the first movie, but because of the outrage, he relegated the character to one, mumbling line and committing one of the most egregious acts in the story.

Fair enough. I live on 73rd St, 75 yds from where sand meets water. I love my beach in the summer time. The rest of the year is shit. I'll give you that.

I disagree. Attack of the Clones earns that title.

Was that the one with the duck billed dino with the unfortunate accent? That so sucked.

Here's one I never see suggested:

I enjoyed the book, but I really enjoy this movie. I remember watching it and being struck by how well it was shot so as to convey scent in a scentless medium. Reading the book first helps immensely, but it's pleasurable and disturbing nonetheless.

Also, while we're talking amazeballs films:

This. This movie is poignant, horrifying, visually stunning, and deeply beautiful. Don't watch it dubbed. Watch it with subtitles - twice, so you get everything. It's worth it, every time.

This film. First of all, I don't cry at a lot of movies, but at this one, I did. Second, if you want something that matches the phrase "visually stunning" in a way that films like Avatar can't yet match, you need this one - and it's not even in 3D. I like my films to have "texture" to them - as in, shot so that all the nitty gritty is seen and 'felt', and this one delivers in spades. You need to watch it on a high quality TV so you can delight in the eye candy, and you need to have a quiet afternoon so you can enjoy the fantasy world this little girl dreams up and feel the gross despair that makes the man manipulate her with his stories.

The way it was pitched to me was "Every scene in this movie could be turned into a photographic still and I would put any one of them on my wall." It's that visually arresting, and for some reason no one crows about it.
