Why do christians do this..?

The revival's where there are christians passing out and flailing around all over the place from being "touched by the Holy Spirit". Do we know why this is caused? Cuz it's hard for me to wrap my mind around them faking it.

Also, is there any other religion besides Christianity where things like this happen?

Because when you live in a community, where the standard is that everyone should have a huge stick up their ass, people go a bit crazy when they pull it out for a while. It's no different from people dancing at a nightclub, rafting or going for a brisk walk, only that it looks ten times more ridiculous Tongue
