Bibles Vs. Direct Observation

RE: Bibles Vs. Direct Observation
Then he's an idiot. If I could move upwind of me, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Even the dog left the room in disgust. Not to mention a run.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

He knew you would fart, and chose to be beside you anyway. He loves you THAT much!

I would do the same of course.

Even I leave the room when my wife farts, and I love her dearly. Jesus is a glutton for punishment, but we knew this already.

I liked your response though...Christian wit does exist!

Are you sure it's Christian wit and not atheist wit rubbing off?

Chalk it up to just wit, plain and simple?

Well forgive me for not ever seeing this before. Perhaps I didn't read that particular thread.

So please explain to me how God has no human features when the bible says that man was made in God's image? In other words, God created man to look just like him. Don't try to weasel the words around to claim "made in his image" doesn't mean that.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

God is a trinity and we are a trinity, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit 3 in 1. Man has a body, a conscious mind, and a spirit, the breath of God 3 in 1.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

ROFLOL

Actually dude He is right there, beside you.

There is actually no evidence that Jesus Christ ever even lived.

This is a good answer to satisfy the demands of the question asked. But because it asks a question within the confines of the Bible, which is a flawed book to begin with, the question was not the best. Sorry, DT.

Instead, we need to ask things like:

Can you demonstrate that there is a god?
Can you show us that this god is a trinity?
Can you prove that he/she/it looks like us?

The Bible should not be used to prove these things, as all that book does is prove that it has words on pages that say stuff.

Science cannot prove the existence of a god. Religious people accept their god on faith. I personally don't believe in faith because it is something people hold independent of evidence.

Are you familiar with Aron Ra? He is the president of the American Atheists Texas branch. He made a good point about faith in a debate with bat-shit crazy Ray Comfort.

I actually listened to that a few days ago. He makes some really good points about faith, and it's actually convinced to try and stop using the word altogether for any of my everyday proceedings. The word carries a lot of baggage anyway, so there's no reason to try and break it down between the faith that believers have and the different kinds of faith that non-believers have.
