Riot in France
Quote: Riot erupts in French town as veiled woman claims police brutality
A riot erupted in a town near Paris on Friday night after police stopped and charged a woman wearing the Islamic face-covering veil. Residents accused police of using violence against the woman's family, while police unions say her husband attacked an officer.

Did they shoot him 11 times?

When they do you can compare this to "Murrica."

Scroll down to get to the video.

And of course, the cop was cleared of any "wrong doing."

I hate posting videos like this because I know that dickhead A Theist is sitting there jerking off to it.

mini, when I was about 7 the police in the neighbouring district arrested a man for drunk driving.
They were to lazy to do procedures required in such a case and therfor simply locked the man into the cellar of the magistrate with the intention of releasing him the next day.

They forgot.

He was found 2 weeks later, half mad for having chewed his belt and parts of the wall in search of something liquid.

The police in catholic, conservative, clanish southern Europe is probably worse than the US police.
Not because they shot more often (which they dont) but because they operate in a clanish small community where everyone knows everyone and where you can get away with alot of things.

My recollection is that, despite stories to the contrary, corruption is more prevalent at the lower levels of government than at the higher. You'll find the same things in small towns and jurisdictions in the U.S.

The study referred to U.S. corruption, and how they determined things methodologically is an open question, but it's likely not solely a U.S. phenomenon.

As horrible as that is, TGAC, there is a difference between that and blowing a guy away with a 9mm. Did the cop "forget" to stop shooting?

Now imagine a -massive- clan-ish community with increasing access to military gear and quality surveillance equipment where no one seems to know anyone (or what anyone else is doing) but they stick together just the same when shit hits the fan.

Mind you, I actually love the idea of police. I just don't think the execution is so hot of late. I mentioned awhile back..guess I can mention it again. I like the idea of heavily armored but only lightly armed police officers. Would go a long way towards curbing some of our snafus by the brute force of averages alone. "Would cut out alot a' them fellars what just joined up with the sheriffs for to shoot a 'coon."
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. What I have discovered by watching US crime programmes is that they have about fifteen different law enforcement departments with similar job specifications turn up at any major crime, so the first hour of any crime investigation is working whose job it is.
