...That being said, if somebody killed my family, got rich from benefits reaped from it, and were blatantly getting away with such a defined crime directly connected to me personally...would I need to argue a point to show that my entitlement to retribution is just?...not quite the same details in that analogy!

First off, if they are getting away with it, it either means they've covered their tracks too well. As for the issue of slaves, there are no tracks to be covered, its simply plain open for everyone to see. Besides, there is the law that you can appeal to, again, to which court are the blacks to appeal to, and by whom is the outcome to be ratified? If you demand retribution, you ought to take it. For no one is going to play the champion of another in the great game of nations. Üze Tengri basmasar, asra Yir telinmeser, Türük bodun ilingin törüngin kim artatı udaçı erti? That was my entire point. Thank you for showing that I missed the mark. What I'm saying is that the "perpetrators" from which retribution is being sought, haven't done anything illegal. Therefore asking them to pay for a crime of any kind isn't the same as one feeling owed justice for the defined crime outlined above, that was done directly to "me" and "my family" as outlined in the analogy I responded to.

Their use of slaves of the day was quite legal, and after it was declared illegal, some people stopped using slaves, while some were forced to stop using slaves but the point is, those who have used slaves illegally have already paid in blood. Though there is also another matter, in which I do understand the african american community, though appealing to their former masters is not going to win them a thing.
