Still disgusted by the behaviour of these "holy" men Angry

Uhh, dog bites man is not news, man bites dog, or holy men who do not prey on children, that would be news.

I'm surprised when I go a week and don't hear about some new Catholic sex abuse scandal.

They are when they keep supporting the church after these incidents keep hitting the news time and time again. And a bunch of them were attacking David Letterman for a joke he made about pedophile priests.

Thing is, the catholic church has made clear its willingness and skillfulness in protecting these scumbags, that alone should inspire any smart scumbag to join the club and become a priest. I've always believed that those involved in the coverups and those who refrain from condemning these crimes to the fullest degree are just as responsible as the abusive priests and should be locked away.

Possibly off the rails, but why hasn't/isn't castration a requirement for priesthood? Wouldn't it show a dedication above and beyond the 'calling'?

Bishop apologises for abuse at Fort Augustus School

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-23566192

Quote:He told parishoners: "It is a most bitter, shaming and distressing thing that in this former abbey school a small number of baptised, consecrated and ordained Christian men physically or sexually abused those in their care.

"I know that Abbot Richard Yeo has offered an apology to those who have suffered such abuse and I join him in that.

BBC Scotland Investigations Correspondent Mark Daly has more on the developments

"We are anxious that there be a thorough police investigation into all this. And, that all that can be done should be done for the victims. All of us must surely pray for those who have suffered."

Well, if he says sorry then everything is ok isn't it? or maybe he should give the police the names and addresses of the pervert child fuckers

Of course - the Xtians claim that everything happens according to their god's will - so obviously it wanted that to happen as well!!!!!

Celebacy is an idea that only works for a few and when all sex is "wrong" then rape is not that much worse than consensual sex.

Once a line is crossed it is easier to take the next step than it is to cross the line in the first place.

The Catholic church has set the line in a place where it is almost impossible not to cross it in the first place, I wonder how many truly celebate priests there are?

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.
