The current and historic charity of Christians as never been conditional. God shines His blessings on both the evil and the righteous alike. Jesus Christ freely gave his life for us, no strings attached. Every Christian knows that a coerced conversion is worthless. The Gospel is and always has been free.
Originally, you gave food and comfort to the homeless man. Now you are bragging about it. You have received your reward. But unlike Christ, who gave his life freely, you demanded that he violate his faith for your further generosity. In your "parable" you play the part of God. That's what makes it so contemptible. Get a clue, YOU are not God.

Can you prove that?

So what's the difference? Seriously, I've never understood this: what is it about god that gives him so many passes on the social mores you expect others to follow? It can't be that he's a source of morality and righteousness, because if that were the case he'd obviously never stoop so low as to commit an act you'd find unacceptable if a lowly human did it.
Is it just might makes right?

Wrong. A lot of christian charities forces their beliefs onto others, e.g. "You cannot have this loaf of bread, unless you sit through a whole mass."

Huh. No demands made by Jesus?

The point is slapping you in the face, yet it seems you try to avoid it. God is nonexistent, FFF exists.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I hope that this is just a story, and that you didn't actually do it - because this sort of tit for tat is a dick move.
... and no, I didn't miss the point at all.

Restore it please.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Well, he exists and he helped the bum. That's pretty strong evidence that he's not the christian god.

For the record, I'm not bragging, and unlike christians, I did not do it for any 'reward'.

Yes, this was just a story to DEMONstrate the "love" of god in a fleshed-out parable. I did not actually bait this man only to leave him wanting. I have only ever given care and attention to homeless humans I encounter. Unlike the christian god, I would never demand such blind obedience for my "love" and providence in return.
And, I agree that it is a dick move to offer good things only to JERK them away unless one submits - that was the demonstration I provided to portray (god's) behavior.

Perhaps Chad has missed the fact that this was parable, and the fact that it is analogous to the situation in his soteriology?
But of course, he jumps to the special pleading of "You're not God!!11"
