The morality you have right now is derived fully from a Christian culture and society, and ultimately from Christ himself.

I cannot think of a single moral quality I possess which originated from the Christian religion. Examples, please?

No not religion, Christ and God. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. This isn't some kind of silly superstition we are all part of the body of Christ, even if you're trying to rebel against it. You're not really fully rejecting it though as your humanist values are Christian values.

Actually, yes, the "body of Christ" and all that goes with it is some kind of silly superstition, and mere assertion to the contrary won't cut it.

As for my humanist values, they are secular through and through, without a trace of divine command nonsense or idol-worshipping herd think. At their core is some version of the so-called Golden Rule. And before you trumpet this as evidence of my indebtedness to Christianity, at least have the decency to acknowledge that "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" (or the formulation I prefer, "avoid doing to others those things you find painful") pre-dates Christianity by centuries and might as well be called a Confucian value. Neither Yahweh nor Jesus are needed to connect those dots.

No one is claiming that morality is a derivative of science. Morality evolved through primitive society as a means for clan survival. You can ignore that fact all you want, claiming only your magical sky daddy could have provided morality, but you would be wrong.

Hm. It seems to me that Christian morality very gradually keeps edging in tiny steps toward humanism. It's nice they're going in the right direction, but they might go faster if they weren't re-inventing every millimeter as they go along so they can take credit for it.

Human racial, gender, equality, compassion for the poor and the needy, a desire to bring social justice and equality, pacifism, not taking revenge, separation of Church and state was a little of Jesus's original idea (render unto Caesar), fighting against oppressors and injustice, charity, caring for the weak, treating others with respect even if they are different from you. And so on. I'm not saying we're the perfect embodiment of what Christ taught but we have made progress in that direction. It is real moral progress of course not a cultural fashion of the age as atheists may like to think. There were setbacks, like Fascism which was a wholesale rejection of everything Christ ever taught. But the good guys won eventually of course. So I'm saying to you what you're seeing here comes from God it's not something we invented. Though we did build the Christian religion/s around it. Evidence wise there you go you can see it for yourself.
