Let's put it this way, I'd never in my life heard the term 'Coming out' to describe someone telling others they were an atheist until I landed on this forum and started reading countless introductions from new American members.
The thought that being an atheist was something you had to keep quiet about was something that had never crossed my mind before. RE: Is Atheism very mainstream in USA nowadays compared to, "for example" Europe
