Yet another school shooting

RE: Yet another school shooting
How many of these incidents till we learn this is a symptom? 3d printers make banning guns impossible, to many guns exist in the world in general, and crime syndicates will sell guns illegally. This blind worship of gun banning is not going to resolve a thing. Let us stop following red herrings such as these. The illness is emotional and mental anguish, these people are either sick because of issues neurologically or emotionally hurt because of the society we live in. Violence is not going to go away banning guns, it works in Britain because Britain is a fucking island. You can control all imports there, in the US you cannot. This issue will never go away until we solve the real illness, as long as souless, compassionate, apathetic leaders remain in power this will only get worse. Until we as a race of humans actually attempt to really focus on the real issues, we will see this happen more and more. Passing a law does not work anymore, this is obvious by the total corruption of our media, education, and our society as a whole. Until we look with in ourselves the solution will elude us and perhaps forever if we continue to avoid taking responsibility.

The only true means of control is possible GPS tracking, however there is always a way around it. IT is an arms race between the Law and the Lawless.

I would just like to point out that 3D printed guns? Yeah, there's a reason we do not use guns made out of plastic...

Those 3D printed guns will be lucky to shoot once without blowing up in your face and killing or wounding the operator, let alone repeatedly. Plastic is not a good gun material for a good reason.

Before you get too worked up about felons not having guns....

http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2013...tatut.html

Quote:New Orleans judge rules statute forbidding felons from having firearms unconstitutional after 'fundamental right' amendment

Derbigny ruled that the entire statute -- RS 14:95.1 -- was unconstitutional after voters last year approved by a sweeping majority a constitutional amendment backed by the National Rifle Association. That bill made gun ownership a "fundamental right," on the same level as freedom of speech or religion.

The NRA is about the profits of the death merchants. They don't care about anyone's "rights" except the bottom line of their leash holders.

Quote:One thing I've noticed is that quite often, the individuals seem to be suffering from a form of psychosis, schizophrenia, and sociopathic tendencies.

And on this point Creed you are absolutely right. And they seem to have little trouble finding the weapons they need by stealing them from your allegedly law-abiding citizens.

I think that's badly overstated, I think the NRA as a whole is shaped by people that are afraid to be powerless. They do not want to be a victim to the next guy they see that is bigger and stronger. This fear causes an overreaction and an overzealousness that seeks power and the ability to bully.

That's my opinion anyway..

Opinions can change when facts are disclosed.

http://www.businessinsider.com/gun-indus...nra-2013-1

Quote:In its early days, the National Rifle Association was a grassroots social club that prided itself on independence from corporate influence.

While that is still part of the organization's core function, today less than half of the NRA's revenues come from program fees and membership dues.

The bulk of the group's money now comes in the form of contributions, grants, royalty income, and advertising, much of it originating from gun industry sources.

Since 2005, the gun industry and its corporate allies have given between $20 million and $52.6 million to it through the NRA Ring of Freedom sponsor program. Donors include firearm companies like Midway USA, Springfield Armory Inc, Pierce Bullet Seal Target Systems, and Beretta USA Corporation. Other supporters from the gun industry include Cabala's, Sturm Rugar & Co, and Smith & Wesson.

The NRA also made $20.9 million — about 10 percent of its revenue — from selling advertising to industry companies marketing products in its many publications in 2010, according to the IRS Form 990.

Additionally, some companies donate portions of sales directly to the NRA. Crimson Trace, which makes laser sights, donates 10 percent of each sale to the NRA. Taurus buys an NRA membership for everyone who buys one of their guns. Sturm Rugar gives $1 to the NRA for each gun sold, which amounts to millions. The NRA's revenues are intrinsically linked to the success of the gun business.

Yep.

Quote:Dues still represent the lion's share of the NRA's income. In its 2010 tax return, the NRA reported total revenue of $227.8 million, with $100.5 million coming from membership dues and $71.1 million from a catchall category, "Contributions, Gifts, Grants and Other Similar Amounts."

While that's all very well and fine and telling us what we already know [that the NRA is backed by gun manufacturers to a huge extent; anyone surprised by this news needs to get their heads out of the sand], it doesn't really overturn anything that I've suggested or stated. If people who are crazy or criminals are stealing guns, they're not buying the guns from the merchants. It's not like ensuring these measures would be cutting into their profits at all. But you know what DOES cut into those profits? Banning guns. The more you push against them, the more they're gonna dig their feet in. Requires a more deft touch than trying to take a sledgehammer to the tank.

Creed, actually they have made alot of head way with the 3D printed guns. With recent developments in the metallurgy catagory of 3d printing. It is only a matter of time, to the point by which the military has sparked an interest.
