Some things are unforgivable.
Washing my seasoned cast iron skillet with Dawn is one of those things. I shall be casting hateful ire towards one of my tenants for the week/forever.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Trying to figure out whether to be insulted or amused, after being called an atheist William Lane Craig.

Staring into the eye of a new day.
For fuck's sake, another one of these things.
But I try and remain positive to enjoy it as much as I can, and to stay strong for those around me who need me.

I just watched the latest Steve Shives video, which touches on several points that have come up on the forum, including the homosexual cake debacle. It's very interesting and I recommend it. It's not all religion related as it's a general Q&A video, but it mostly is about atheist issues.
I'd like to add my commentary about a point he makes about some atheist being obsessed with labels, and trying to force everyone to say they are atheist, if that's what they are. For me, this is two separate issues. Firstly, you have people wanting to label themselves as whatever makes them comfortable. I have absolutely no problem with this. The only issue is whether that person is going to cause confusion when they talk to people, but that's up to them. Call yourself whatever you want, it's fine with me.
Secondly, people who are using non-standard definitions sometimes attack atheists, claiming some sort of superiority, such as the agnostic who thinks atheists are closed minded. In this case, it's not OK to just allow wibbly definitions any more. If you're going to have an actual debate about the meaning of words, and what positions are, then you have to come to some agreement about what words mean. This either means that I adopt their language (I become an agnostic rather than an agnostic atheist for example, for the purposes of that discussion) or they refit what they are saying to my definitions. Either way is fine. But what isn't OK is them using two different groups of definitions at the same time to try and make a point.
Anyhow, enjoy!

Went out to mow the lawn. Found (rather, Tanner found) a rabbit whose head was separated from his body by a few feet. Seemed a pretty fresh kill. I'd bet it was a hawk or an owl that got scared away last night by something. I had to pull Tanner off of it by the scruff of his neck. He was all about some bunny brains. He's got the itch now, I suppose.
