Speaking of growing up fast - yeah, that's true. I can remember the day my son was born like it was yesterday. He turned 13 last March.

You do what you have to do for your kids. My son had acid reflux for the first year of his life, and he'd projectile vomit everything he was fed within minutes. His mother and I had to feed him once an hour, 24/7 for the first year of his life. It took what felt like forever to get him back to his birth weight.
I don't know how we did it, but we did - and you will too. Savor every minute - because the time passes so fast.

A problem ship (explosion in hold 3 on its way to the U.S., numerous work stoppages due to Coast Guard restrictions while various parties cobble together a plan to discharge cargo, fires breaking out in the affected hold during operations, a Master seemingly having a very public email meltdown (he was replaced and sent home to China), and several other incidents straight out of Murphy's Law: The Big Book of Fucked Up Stuff That Can Happen to a Cargo Ship) has finally left the Mississippi River to go to Panama! Yes, everyone involved in this cluster-fuck is glad to see it gone. However, I now have to finish my statement of facts, which is shaping up to be the maritime agents' equivalent of War and Peace. It's . . . just . . . monstrous.
It's 7:52 AM, and I think I need a drink.
