What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Continuing to watch Haven. Currently on season three. I sometimes wonder why it takes me forever to watch good shows.

This new girl started working in the office today. We were talking, and she decided to basically ask me the following;

"I was talking to some of the girls earlier, and they said there is this one girl [in the office] who is always moody. Do you know who they meant?"

What kind of thing is this to ask on the first day you work in an office? I don't even too much know you honey. I could be a snitch for all you know, and for all I know someone could have set you up to ask me that to see what I'd say. And genuinely, I had no idea, none of the girls in the office are really that moody.

Good thing I don't get involved in office gossip. I'm not actively getting involved in "he said, she said", I'm just going to stay sipping my tea. Can't be bothered with the drama of it.

"Yeah, the girls told me it was you!"

Which gave me an ethical conundrum.

I love talking to my mom, and it had been a week since I talked to her last. But I really wanted to sleep some moar.

Do I ignore my mom and sleep for 45 moar minutes? Or do I pick it up?

I did the right thing.

Posted about it on AF? Big Grin

Hehe ... Mum rings, doesn't answer, tells AF how much he loves talking to mum!  He he!

You're right. If the other girls didn't tell her who the moody girl is, that's your first clue that something silly is going on.

I finished the step sheet for my newest novel. This is a sort of road map based on How to Write a Damn Good Novel by James N. Hey.

With the step sheet I know where I want the novel to go, where the plot twists and movement of action takes place. As I write the actual novel my task is to figure out how to get from point A to point B., whether to use narrative or dialogue and where to include character development.

I find this is a good way to conquer writer’s block. Instead of being overwhelmed by the whole humongous task of turning a blank sheet of paper into a story with more than 200 pages, I break it down into little bite sized pieces that encourage me because I feel I can handle them.

Of course, as every successful war general knows, the best laid battle plan is good only up to the first engagement with the enemy. Yet no general goes to war with no plan at all.
