Must be tiresome, loathing everything.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I see your point, this is one reason I don't like many supergroups of virtuosos, it's more about the technical ability than the actual 'soul' of the music. This is more the sort of music that I like:

As a fan of somewhat technical Death Metal, I am also familiar with this problem.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

My son told me yesterday that his car is taking a dump on him. Of course, he has no money for a different one. No effective public transport here. Old dad to the rescue yet again. My guess is spending the rest of the day looking at car deals. I hate buying cars.

I sympathize. I'm starting to get fed up with my car to the point where I'm thinking of buying a new one next year but I just put new tires on it last year and new brakes on in the spring...
What's pushing me to my limit right now is that there have been a whole lot of "routine" maintenance issues that have all happened this year and it's driving me crazy: had to take it to DEQ, had to get my seat belt replaced (for fucking $300!!), had a headlight go out, and now the other one is out, too and, currently, and my check-engine light is on. Again. I need to make the appointment to have it looked at but with Christmas coming up my entire paycheck this month (and part of next month's) is already spoken for and I HATE using credit cards.
I'm gonna just have to suck it up and spend the money.

Think I found one. 2008, 55k miles, 5 speed manual, asking $4.6k. Potential problem, a KIA. Going to look at it at 4PM. Try to talk him down to blue book which is $3.8k, maybe lower depending on overall condition.
What is DEQ, emissions certification? Check engine light-take to an auto parts store with the plug in diagnostic (just call around, they'll tell you if they can do it). My last check engine light was a bad gas cap seal, $14 fix. Should be able to do the headlight yourself or a friendly auto parts store may do it.
I try to never but a car on credit. Paying interest on something that constantly loses value is not the best. Considered leasing?
