Objective analysis is impossible. Everyone has an angle... everyone interprets the data they have been presented with. There is only the striving for putting the self out of the data that one has been made aware of.

Hooray for subjective analysis that tries its best to be as open-minded and non-directed as possible!

Okay, I'm not trying to argue with your point here, because I have no idea where you're coming from. The way I see it, 2+2=4. I just objectively analyzed that when I put two and two together, it equals four. If you wanna say I attached meaning to a bunch of squiggly lines, whatever, I still made a pretty universally agreed upon statement. When there's court rooms, they have to analyze all of the evidence to see if the client is guilty. The analyze the evidence and if there's literally a bazillion witnesses and video footage, I'm pretty sure everyone can agree that whoever was involved in the murder was guilty. I don't believe in this solipsismsm argument, the "you can't prove anything". It just seems anti intellectual. I see no reason why someone can't listen to all the facts that someone presents and tell me if they're true or false. 

Is that the point that you were touching on, or did I just completely miss the mark? Please tell me.

Solipsism isn't about you being unable to prove anything. Everything is provable, just like everything is false as anything but everything itself and nothing else. I don't have to tell you that objectivity is total bull unless as everything (including nothing), but I will, because you not understanding nuance right now today doesn't mean you're incapable of understanding nuance just a bit later today. Or in 50 years. Or maybe you are incapable... but the problem with you being incapable of understanding is that I don't care if you are. Because I'm treating you as if you are capable anyways~

The latter. In spades. My friend. Or maybe the former in doughnuts and diamonds both. There's such a thing as being too sure of yourself. Certainty so that ya can't see the stars for the sun won't be a problem during the day whether you understand there is more to it than you see... that does not make what is before you irrelevant. If you matter. Do you matter? I don't know. Maybe.

I guess what really matters is that you think you matter. Or maybe it's that because you're made of matter that you matter to me. But that's not the point at all, so this somewhat tangential aside probably doesn't matter to many of us or even to me. Hooray.

AF =Awesome Family!

A few days ago I said I’d finished my step sheet for my novel. As a writer, I should excise the word “finished” from my vocabulary. There’s no such thing. I’ve had to take 2 whole pages of dialogue and narrative and move it to another place, add new chapters, take stuff out, and now based on information from Quantum, I may have to rewrite a chapter.

But check this out, back in May I had 3 chapters spanning 21 pages. I was less than inspired by this and for 5 months I left it on the shelf and did not want to be in the same room with it. I started back in October when a publisher in California inspired me by showing interest in one other book and Quantum and Thena just made me feel like they expected great things of me.

I could not disappoint such kewl people. I’m now in chapter 10, have 86 pages totalling over 19,540 words. A good sized novel is at least 60,000 words. So I’m almost one third through the first draft.
