Yes. Sorry. Long night at school. Still reeling over that one part I got wrong.

Dawdling around the computer so that I can check the final score in tonight's football game. About 5 minutes in the game left.

He's brainwashed my kids and he's convinced that everyone around him needs therapy, except for himself. On top of that, my fiancee and I are finally moving out of the motel that we've been stuck in for the last five months, due to landlord retaliation, only to find out that we are going to need over a grand just to get the electric switched over. We still need more money for the gas and the water. Compile that with stresses from school and the fact that my fiancee now has to work 12 hour days, monday through friday PLUS work on saturdays. Let me add that our kids won't have christmas this year because it came down to buying presents or getting out of the motel.

I probably shouldn't tell you this, but my brother's partner lived in a squalor for a number of years. The landlord never fixed anything and illegally kept his decaying vehicles all over the property. She should have litigated. In addition to that shit, he prevented her from moving on several occasions because he didn't want to lose a tenant and told other landlords that she's a fucking bitch of a tenant. He (my brother) lived there too for about 12 months, and then they moved. The place is now not rented, and has even more of his cars cluttering up the place.

You should definitely stand up to the landlord and litigate against him. So long as you can prove he has retaliated in a way that has made it difficult for you to find another place to rent you have a winnable small claims case.

I'm sure your kids are very happy to be out of the motel. There are some charities that give parents doing it tough Christmas presents to give to their children, that might be something worth exploring in your situation. Best of luck.

Can't sleep. It's 2:22 am. Maybe I'll have better luck if I'm actually in bed.
