I took a girl out for lunch. She acted embarrassed and weird when I paid for both of our meals instead of splitting it. I thought that's what you're supposed to do? I've never taken a girl out before so I'm new to this.

If I'd known it warrants tossed drinks and face slaps I may have happily delivered. Instead he never got his meal and is now on my real life ignore list. Men have made such a fuss in recent years about women's equality in the dating arena (and with some good reason), a lot of women I know have gotten in the habit of assuming responsibility for their own expenditures on a date. I am one. Plus I like not feeling "obligated" for having been treated to a meal. It's only fair. I'm just as able as he is to pay my own way. If things progress and he offers to take me out, then that's different. I'll let him pay. Just as if I ask him out to do something, I assume the expense is on me.
Dating has changed a lot since when I first did it many years ago, and for the better, I think. 
I'm like that too... I go dutch until it's a relationship, and then trade off paying. I feel weird when people want to pay for me.
At home because everyone was too tired to go out drinking tonight. They just had to see the midnight showing of The Hobbit 2.

Whoah. So drunk I had to lie down. Haven't done that in a long while. 
Planning a haircut and darker hair color like the girl that a part of me is.
